TeamSport High Wycombe sits inside the Eden Shopping Centre, on the level above Primark. It is an unusual setting for a kart circuit and a convenient one — the town’s bus station is in the same centre, the railway station is a short walk away, and the shops and restaurants are on the doorstep. A Sixes Social Cricket venue shares the building, so a group can combine racing with something quite different without moving.

The circuit runs 500 metres across multiple levels with thirteen corners, sweeping sections and a dramatic ramp that gives the layout its real elevation change and its character. Karts reach up to 45mph. The lap record is worth knowing before you set off: YouTube presenter Max Fosh recorded 40.3 seconds here, and the venue openly invites visitors to try to beat it.

Adult and junior karts run separately, both with belt drive and adjustable flip-over pedals so the driving position can be set for different heights, and the adult karts carry a track management system. Junior karts are limited to 25mph while adult karts reach up to 45mph. The venue’s published kart specification is internally inconsistent about whether the fleet is petrol or electric, so anyone who cares about engine noise, fumes or air quality indoors should ask the venue directly before booking.

Karting starts at age 8, with a minimum inside leg measurement of 25 inches taken from crotch to heel with shoes on. There is no maximum height for the junior karts, but drivers must be under 5ft 4in to be held safely in them. Adult karts require a minimum age of 13 and an inside leg of at least 29 inches. Sixes cricket in the same building is open from age 5, so a younger sibling who cannot race may still be able to join in there.

The Ultimate Race Experience is open from age 8 and runs two sessions on the main track, starting from the pit lane with the fastest lap taking the win. The Grand Prix is a full motorsport format for ages 16 and over with a minimum of six drivers, running qualifying followed by a grid start and a podium presentation. Kart and Bat combines two karting sessions with a Sixes cricket experience across a two to three hour visit. Corporate days, stag and hen groups, birthday parties and large group bookings are handled by the events team, and podium presentations can be upgraded with medals, trophies or branded caps.

A Sixes Social Cricket venue operates within the same building, offering interactive nets where players face virtual bowlers and compete for a score, open from age 5. It is run by a separate company rather than by TeamSport, so booking it on its own goes through Sixes directly. TeamSport does sell a combined Kart and Bat package covering both, which is the simplest route for a group wanting to do the two together.

The venue has designated disabled parking bays, though they are not directly beside the entrance. Access to the pit lane is by stairs only, so the venue states it cannot provide wheelchair access to the downstairs track area — a wheelchair user can visit but cannot race. Accessible areas are available throughout the rest of the venue, and the bar on the upper level gives a clear view of the track. The venue states it does not currently have facilities for visitors with hearing impairments and suggests calling ahead if that is a concern.

Drivers should arrive 40 minutes before their drive time. Race suits, gloves and helmets are provided along with a safety briefing. A balaclava is required and can be bought at the venue for £3.99 if you do not have your own. Shoes must cover the whole foot, so heels, sandals and open-toed footwear are not permitted. Long hair needs tying up and tucking into the race suit, and scarves, sashes and jewellery must be removed. Booking ahead is recommended, particularly at weekends, and booking online in advance carries a discount. Pool tables and arcade machines are available at the venue but cannot be reserved online.

The track is above Primark inside the Eden Shopping Centre, reached either through the lift lobby on Level 3 of the Purple Car Park or via the entrance on Desborough Road at Newlands Meadow, in the unit that was formerly a Café Nero. Drivers should use HP11 2DQ and head for the Purple Car Park, entering the Eden car park from the Desborough Road or Lily’s Walk entrance and going via Orange or Green parking. There are more than 1,600 spaces and eight electric vehicle charging points on Green Level 2. Parking at the centre is chargeable, which sets this venue apart from most TeamSport sites. By train, High Wycombe station is a short walk — turn left, follow the pedestrian signs downhill, right onto High Street and the Eden entrance is just past the Guildhall. Chiltern Railways runs three trains an hour to London Marylebone, with the fastest taking around 24 minutes. The town’s bus station is inside the centre itself.
